Education Committee

|
Assesses the educational needs and interests of MBEs and corporate members. Organizes, promotes and hosts educational seminars, workshops and conferences on topics of interest and value to members.

Membership Committee
|
|
Increases active MBEs memnbership, recruits new members, works in cooperation with other committees to expand the council's presence into new markets, and conducts orientation sessions for new and prospective members.

Board of Directors
|
|
Manage the business and property of the Council and serve as its working body. Appoint and supervise committees in the achievement of Council objectives. Coordinate and govern all Council activities.

Communications Advisory Committee
|
|
Improve effect of the Council's work by increasing visibility and identity of the Council and by advising and assisting in the communications and public relations efforts.

MBE Advisory Committee
|
|
Provide MBE input into the work and affairs of the Council and organize, promote and implement such Council activities which benefit MBEs.

Program Committee
|
|
To plan and conduct quarterly luncheons, mini-trade fairs and the Holiday Social.

Sports Classic
|
|
To plan and conduct a successful Sports Classic (featuring Basketball, Tennis, and Golf) to raise funds for the MBE Business Executive Scholarship Program.

Supplier Diversity Advisory Committee
|
|
Provide corporate member input into the work and affairs of the Council and organize, promote and implement Council activities which benefit corporate members in their minority business development efforts.

Ambassadors
|
|
The Ambassador program is designed to increase awareness in the community about HMBC?s mission and to assist new members get acclimated to the programs and services that HMBC has to offer. The Ambassadors will help new members maximize their membership in the Council while serving as a
mentor during their first year of membership.
